Recognition of the Future City Game by the UK Homes and Communities Agency
29.01.2010

The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which is the national public agency in England and Wales for regeneration, sustainable communities and social housing, has awarded Place-Making Recognition Accreditation Status to the Future City Game as part of its Academy accreditation scheme for products that improve the skills and knowledge of professionals and communities which enable them to build healthier, happier, safer and more prosperous places.

An independent panel of experts assessed the Future City Game and described it as "an innovative, high profile resource worthy of support and promotion". They also described it as "an innovative mechanism for stimulating creative thinking and greater understanding in relation to the place-making/sustainable communities agenda in a cities context" and to "facilitate skill and competencies development, intellectual exchange and collaboration".
