As part of the Citisense conference 2009 and as the start of the Urban Ideas Bakery process in Sandefjord, we organised a workshop that examined some of the challenges the city is facing and what the future could look like.

The fifteen participants represented a broad cross-section of the community, from local entrepreneurs, city planners, leaders of interest groups, and city council representatives. The participants examined the city’s challenges; success stories, and needs, and identified Sandefjord’s local innovators or Urban Ideas Bakers. After two hours of lively discussions, the participants generated some fascinating ideas and perspectives and showed great interest in becoming involved in the Urban Ideas Bakery planned for the last week of October 2009.
