Andrew Shoben shared his experiences on creativity in urban spaces at the Festival of Commercial Art 09. Andrew, who in 1993 established Greyworld, creates works that articulate public spaces in areas of the city that people see every day but normally exclude and ignore. He was speaking about how Greyworld works, introduced their brand new projects, illustrating them with film and interactive videos, and present their past creations.
Andrew builds up spaces that offer passers-by a possibility of joining and taking part in an installation and – and subsequently – creating a message that is the installation's outcome. Greyworld’s works can be seen worldwide and each opening is a great event, broadcast by TV stations globally. Andrew Shoben's works have received many awards, e.g. the BAFTA Interactive Art Award and several times – the D&AD Award.
The event, which was preceded by the presentation of the Creative Cities project, was supported by the British Council and organised by Klub Twórców Reklamy.
