The Architecture Foundation is delighted to announce its latest international collaboration, this time with the Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw, and Golden Lion winning curator Grzegorz Piątek on an exchange programme of merging architects from Poland and the UK. The Polish practices of Beton, Aleksandra Wasilkowska and WWAA, and UK based Common Office, dallaspierce+quintero and office for subversive architecture will be participating in programmes in both countries.
Along with public talks in Warsaw and London, the practices will take part in activities that explore the challenges and opportunities which these two cities must each address, including stalled corporate buildings and preparations for major sporting events in 2012.
New Architects: Poland_UK is supported by the Royal College of Art, British Council and is part of POLSKA! YEAR, a celebration of Polish Culture across the UK, coordinated by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
The Architecture Foundation has also initiated exchange programmes between the UK and the USA, Italy, Turkey and Norway, with more forthcoming.
