Micheal's Pyner 2nd visit in Warsaw
After the successful 'Creative Cities: Innovation for Urban Challenges' workshop in Warsaw in March this year, we had the great pleasure to once more host one of this event's speakers - Micheal Pyner, Chief Executive of Shoreditch Trust. Micheal was invited to take part in a meeting with the International Relations Department of Warsaw City Council that is currently working on a planning proposal for a creative district in the capital city of Poland (in the framework the Creative Metropoles project). Together with other representatives of creative sectors, Micheal played the role of expert and advisor to Warsaw City Council.
Later in the afternoon, Micheal also shared his thoughts and experience on How Creativity Can Make Sustainable Change in the Communities at the Young Creative Entrepreneurs Club's cyclic meeting at the Laboratory, part of the Centre For Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle.
Micheal is on the cutting edge of regeneration. He was brought into establish the Trust in 2000 from the award-winning Mile End Park, a sustainable people’s park for the 21st Century. Whether nationally or internationally, Micheal consistently champions a collaborative approach to regeneration solutions. He is a board member of many charities in the U.K. and a key advisor to the U.K. Government on social and creative enterprise.
