Oslo architecture triennale 2010

The Oslo Architecture Triennale 2010 is being held from 22. 09 - 03.10, located at several venues in the capital. Many of the arrangements are targeted for a broader audience interested in issues related to the city's development and future.

The British Council Norway, Norsk Form, Church City Mission and The Architecture Foundation London organised an international Future City Game event in East Oslo that dealt with the complex issue of Asylum, who decides where some groups should live and how a proposed Asylum centre might in fact contribute in a positive way to the local community.

Planning took place to turn the proposed community centre in Grønland, East Oslo into a temporary exhibition space for the triennale week where the Future City Game process, its outcome and the work from the architects has been exhibited. There are further space available to act as a consultation and active workshop space where people can contribute further to this emotive debate.

Each day a series of podcasts are being released as part of the Oslo triennale. You can listen to them here.

The podcasts are about cities, architects and their role in city development. Other interviewees include celebrity sociologist and city expert Erling Dokkholm and the very well known politician and Oslo mayor candidate Carl I. Hagen.
