Sonar is a Festival of Advanced Music and New Media Art that combines entertainment with artistry, the avant garde and experimentation, featuring the most consolidated artists and trends in electronic music and their interactions and hybridisations with other genres.

Sónar is unique in terms of its format and content. By day, you can experience concerts, showcases, exhibitions etc. But the major shows are at night, when the leading names of the international music landscape appear on the scene.

Each year, the festival also features a series of parallel events at cultural venues in the city.
