Here in Pécs we have just had lunch. Before we broke for lunch we had the three groups presenting their ideas. The ideas all needed to present the short, medium and long term effects of their intervention.

Group 1 - also known as the Shared Group

The code name for the first project is platform and the idea circles around developing a shared vision for Pécs. The groups idea is to action in the city tonight to grab attention - at the moment the action sounds like it will be around a fence, possibly with some polaroid cameras. More to follow later...

The medium term of this idea will be to further developing this shared vision - possibly with a website or other type of online platform. In the long term the shared vision will need to be realised and implemented in order for this to be successful.

Group 2

Maps - this group will create maps of the city. Maps of all sorts showing, cultural activity, other activity; also bottom-up mapping where everyone in the city is involved in contributing to and creating the maps. This group still has some work to do on the long term effects of their idea.

Group 3

Main street - focusing on one street in Pécs

An arts festival in the main street will enable increased diversity and indeed the exisiting diversity of Pécs to be seen and celebrated by everyone. The long term effect could be that the main street could be seen as a symbol for the whole city. A risk of this of course is that if this fail people will question the whole approach.
