This message will go onto a fence in central Pécs this afternoon:

40 young professional from 8 countries during three days were thinking of new ideas including the locals to find a solution to develop community space and the connections in the community. Organised by the British Council in January with local students, prefessionals and other stakeholders the idea was born that Kiraly needs a community based development.

We would like to use the empty stores and fill them up with contemporary culture and art. We would like to organise festivals and grass root events involving the users of the street. We would would like to Kiraly street with life so that the users of the street will form into a community. If you are are a resident of Kiraly street, ownder or user of one of its' stores. If you work in a public institution or a lover of the theatre or if you are the one walking walking her dog on the streeet or a frequent visitor of a local cafe. If you are an exchange visiting studentor a visitor to the cultrual capital, we are interested in knwoing what you think about our street.

So what do you think? How should the street be? What is good in the street? How should we transform it ? Waht is working well? What do you apprecaite here? What do you think needs a change?

We are the ones to create the street. We who live here, work here or just happen to pass by. It is our common aim and goal to achieve this together as a community.
