'Creative Community Planning' forum in Pilsen has just started with warm greetings of the organisers - British Council, Centre for Community Organising and the City of Pilsen, and an inspiring presentation by energetic Neil McInroy from Centre of Local Economic Studies (UK).
The forum is bringing together over 100 game players, partners and creative people from across Northern & Central Europe, Ukraine and Russia. We are about to sum up 18-month experience of Creative Cities project, share new ideas and insights and create new conncections!
Neil, who is a co-author of Future City Game methodology, was speaking about the new era of developing good cities and ways of making them resilient to the challenges contemporary urban areas were facing today.
Inter alia, Neil claimed that debate is what makes cities 'good' cities, that stirring hearts and minds of creative people is what makes lifeblood running through cities' veins. Do you think that creative processes in a city could be more important than the final result? Is this applicable to your city?
